MY BACKGROUND Ever since I was three and living in New York City, I remember drawing and as I grew-up I was constantly working on bettering my skills by drawing my Dad's drawings of famous movie stars. After graduating High School, my artwork took a backseat to College and a degree in teaching Dance and Physical Education.
MT START IN PHOTOGRAPHY Since teaching took up so much of my time, including spare time, my artwork suffered and I found myself struggling with daily stress and no real creative outlet. Photography became the quick fix to the only relaxation I had available to me. Thirty five years later I decided to pursue my drawing again but this time to incorporate them into my photography. As a result, I continue to strive in creating what I hope is some very unique 2D pieces of art.
JUST A THOUGHT... Since retiring in 2004, I found that all of that repressed creativity started to emerge and I couldn't be happier with my life. There is nothing 'deep' about how I create or metaphysical about the process, I just love watching the process evolve and I enjoy every appreciative art enthusiast who stops by wherever I'm showing to compliment my work. Art to me has never been about creating but more about sharing and if my work provokes an emotional response or connection with a viewer, then I've been successful.
